Emberfall Saga

Emberfall Saga is the rare mobile RPG that respects your time and your intelligence. You lead a small band of misfits across a fading kingdom, and the writing carries real weight — companions remember what you said three chapters ago and call you out on it. I found myself caring about these people more than in games ten times the size.

Combat is turn-based and clever, built around positioning on a small grid. Each character has a couple of abilities, so battles feel like little puzzles rather than button mashing. It scales nicely for a touchscreen, with big tappable icons and no awkward camera fights.

The art is the star, though — every scene looks like a page from a storybook. It's not a quick game, but if you want something to sink into over a few weeks, this is a gem.
